That last point matters. RSSB has moved towards question types that test whether facts are held in relation to one another rather than in isolation, and a candidate who knows the material but has never attempted these formats loses marks to the framing rather than to the content.
Ten papers with OMR sheets is the practical part. A single mock reveals little; a series shows whether time per section is improving and where accuracy falls under pressure. And since CET is an OMR examination, marking a real sheet against the clock is a distinct skill — candidates who practise only in the book lose marks to transfer errors and to the last-minute rush of filling bubbles.
