This is the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) social science geography textbook for Class IX, Contemporary India I. This volume is the physical geography of India, taken systematically. It opens with size and location — latitudinal and longitudinal extent, the standard meridian, India's neighbours and its position in the Indian Ocean.
